It was interesting to learn that the Lib Dems have dropped their red line issue of Proportional Representation for local Government elections as we approach the Assembly elections. The policy had made a return to a Lib-Lab pact after the Assembly elections impossible due to the veto of Labour Councillors across Wales , most of whom depend on the current unfair electoral system for their seats.

PR is about the only policy the Lib Dems over the years have argued with any passion. It just goes to show that the Lib Dems would sell their souls for a chance of power and a Ministerial car.

Those ho seek power should do so for a purpose. The raison d'etre of the Lib Dems in Wales it seems is power for powers sake whilst propping up an incompetent and visionless Labour Administration. The people of Wales deserve far better.
